Five Killed, Ten Injured in Bus Accident in Uruzgan
Five people were killed and ten others injured in a bus accident in Uruzgan province on Saturday.
The accident occurred in the village of Tagabdar in the Gizab district of the province after a passenger bus type Flankoch veered off the road and then overturned A woman and a child were among the casualties.
A source at the Uruzgan provincial hospital confirmed that the injured from the incident were transferred to the health center and the condition of four of them is critical.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
The accident is the latest in a series of road accidents in Afghanistan. In recent months, there have been several deadly accidents involving passenger buses. Road safety is a major concern in Afghanistan. The country has a poor road infrastructure and many drivers do not follow traffic laws.
