Registering 600 cyber attacks on Russia’s largest bank since the start of the Ukraine war
Officials of the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation (SBER) have announced that since the beginning of the Ukrainian war, more than 600 unsuccessful cyber attacks have been made on this bank.On Friday, January 19, Tass news agency quoted Stanislav Kuznetsov, the chairman of the board of directors of this bank, as saying that this number of attacks was a denial of service (DDOS) attack.Based on this report, the strongest attack on this bank took place in November 2023, when its cyber security team was able to take control of it immediately before the bank’s systems were damaged.
