Statements of the political opponents of the Taliban regarding the Doha meeting

اظهارات مخالفان سیاسی طالبان در مورد نشست دوحه

The Jamiat-e-Islami Party of Afghanistan, in response to the non-invitation of political currents opposed to the Taliban in the second Doha meeting on Afghanistan, has called it a serious vacuum in this meeting.

This party has written a statement on the X social network that the unilateral focus on the Taliban and the “unrealistic” flexibility for the conditions of this group harms the regional and global efforts to solve the current crisis in Afghanistan.

It is stated in the statement: Constructive interaction with all parties to the conflict, not unilaterally, and impartial mediation leads to trust, it is expected that in similar initiatives, the fact will be emphasized more that without interaction with the pro-democracy forces, it will be difficult to achieve the desired success.

This political movement opposed to the Taliban has asked the United Nations to appoint a neutral person as a special representative for Afghanistan affairs who is aware of the social, historical, cultural realities and the roots of the conflict in Afghanistan.
