بازداشت شش تن به اتهام جاسوسی برای چین از سوی ترکیه

Anatolia news agency reported that the Istanbul police arrested six people on charges of spying on the Uyghurs for the Chinese intelligence agency.

It is said that these people have been collecting information about prominent people of the Uyghur community and some of its associations.

It is estimated that about 50,000 Uighurs live in Türkiye. This religious and ethnic minority in Xinjiang state is suppressed by the Chinese government on the charge of Islamism and separatism.

Turks have close ethnic, religious and linguistic ties with Uyghurs, who are mainly Muslim and Turkic people.
