The closure of Faryab and Badghis roads due to heavy snowfall
The local Taliban authorities in Faryab and Badghis have announced the closure of transportation routes in these provinces.
Shamsuddin Mohammadi, the head of information and culture of the Taliban in Faryab, says that following heavy snowfall and storm, the roads of Bandar, Lolash, Kohistan districts and a number of Garzivan, Balcheragh, and Pashtunkot villages with the city of Maimane, the center of this province, have been closed to traffic.
However, he added that the road from the newly established district of Chehlgezi and from Chaharganeh Andkhoi district to the city of Maimene is open for traffic.
Local Taliban officials in Badghis confirm this news.
This group has asked the residents of Badghis to refrain from traveling to Herat and the districts of this province until the situation improves.
