Zabihullah Mujahid’s sharp reaction to the United Nations report on the situation in Afghanistan

Zabihullah Mujahid called the UN report biasedZabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban group, called the new UN report on the increase in security incidents in Afghanistan “biased”.Mujahid claims that these events took place in the conflict with drug traffickers, and instead of praising the fight against drugs, the United Nations is trying to show Afghanistan’s insecurity. He says that last year, more than 14,000 traffickers were arrested and 5,500 tons of drugs were destroyed.Mujahid did not respond to other parts of the UN report, including extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, the alarming state of prisoners, restrictions against women and girls, and differences among Taliban leaders.
