Biden’s extension of the “state of national emergency” against Iran

US President Joe Biden has extended the “state of national emergency” against Iran for another year.Biden announced this in a letter to the US Congress.In this letter, he added that the state of national emergency against Iran, which was declared on March 15, 1995, will remain in effect after March 15, 2024.According to Biden, Iran’s actions and policies are still considered a serious and significant threat to the national security, foreign policy and economy of America.It should be mentioned that on March 15, 2023, in a letter to the Congress of this country, Biden extended the National Emergency Executive Order No. 12957 regarding Iran for another year.
