Transfers of 80,000 tons of commercial items from Afghanistan railways in one week
The National Railway and Railway Administration under the control of the Taliban has announced that 80,950 metric tons of commercial items have been exported and imported from Afghanistan’s railways in the past week.
These transfers have been made to the country from the 18th to the 24th of this month through the ports of Hayratan, Aqina and Turghandi.
Among these, 70 thousand 329 tons of commercial items were transported through Harayatan railway line, 4 thousand 94 tons through Aqineh railway line, and 6 thousand 527 tons through Turghandi railway line.
Of this amount, 869 tons are calculated as export items, including dry fruits and pomegranate juice.
The Department of Railways emphasizes that a large part of the country’s transfers is done through exports. Most of Afghanistan’s exchanges are with Pakistan, India and the United Arab Emirates.
