Criticism of Iranian leaders on the eve of the new year

Masih Alinejad, an Iranian human rights activist, in a message on the occasion of the New Year, publicly criticized Iran’s religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and called him the “self-proclaimed” and “helpless” leader of the Islamic Republic.

He has stated that the name of the year should not be expected from a “self-proclaimed and helpless” leader who has not presented any new plans for the liberation of the Iranian nation in the past 45 years, except for repeated words and slogans.

Also, he mentioned the hope of a brighter democratic and free future in Iran and stated that the real Nowruz of Iranians will come when this country witnesses the establishment of democracy, freedom, liberation and human rights in our country.

Previously, Masih Alinejad had started a campaign to legalize gender apartheid in Afghanistan and Iran.

With the establishment of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, girls and women have been denied the right to attend schools, universities and even perform daily tasks, which has caused concerns for human rights activists such as Ali Nejad.
