Imran Khan’s reaction to Pakistan’s recent airstrikes against Khost and Paktika provinces

واکنش عمران خان به حملات هوایی اخیر پاکستان علیه ولایت‌های خوست و پکتیکا

In response to Pakistan’s recent airstrikes against Khost and Paktika provinces, Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, stated that regardless of who is ruling Afghanistan, Islamabad should have proper relations with Kabul.

He made these statements in Rawalpindi’s “Adialai” prison in an interview with reporters and added that the two-decade war in Afghanistan ended with the mediation and facilitation of dialogue between the Taliban and the United States during his rule.

Referring to the commitments of the Taliban group during his prime ministership, Imran Khan has pointed to solving the problem of the Pakistani Taliban.

The Taliban’s response to these airstrikes led to border clashes, as a result of which a Pakistani soldier and a Taliban member were killed.

These statements of Imran Khan are made while he had previously supported the Taliban regime in some way.
