Germany’s fifteen million euro aid to the people of Afghanistan
The Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany has provided financial aid worth 15 million euros or equivalent to 16.4 million dollars to the people of Afghanistan through the World Food Program.
According to the report of the World Food Program, Germany’s aid to Afghanistan has reached a total amount of 78 million euros since 2023.
This new aid will be used through the World Food Program to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities and support the feeding program for Afghan school students.
Katrina Spies, the head of crisis management, reconstruction and transitional development assistance department of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, has stated that her country will continue its decisive support to the people of Afghanistan.
According to the World Food Program, Germany has contributed 167 million euros and 145 million euros to Afghanistan in 2022 and 2021, respectively, and this country is among the top five donors to the World Food Program in Afghanistan.
