Falling Rocks from the Sky in Baghka Village, Khakrez District of Kandahar
Residents of Baghka village in the Khakrez district of Kandahar reported on Friday that rocks had fallen from the sky in their area.
Taliban security officials stated that these rocks were the result of explosions in some mountains that were obstructing the construction of the new road between Kandahar and Arghandab.
Residents of Baghka village sent pictures of scattered rocks in various parts of the village to Afghanistan International.
Although local authorities in Kandahar have not commented on this event yet, sources from the Taliban security command in the province informed Afghanistan International that these rocks resulted from the destruction of mountains obstructing the construction of the new Kandahar road.
These sources added that these explosions occurred between the Arghandab and Khakrez districts.
