Hamid Karzai asked the European Union to cooperate in the field of girls’ education in Afghanistan
Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, in a meeting with the European Union officials in Kabul, asked for cooperation in the field of education, especially the education of girls, and support for the care and health of children and mothers in Afghanistan.
Mr. Karzai will inform about the meeting with Patrice Ostbos, Head of the Asia and Middle East Division of the European Commission, and Rafaela Yudiche, the European Union’s Chargé d’Affaires in Afghanistan, on his former Twitter account on Friday (April 26).In this meeting, President Karzai will also express his gratitude to the people of Afghanistan for the humanitarian aid of the European Union.
Prohibition of education for girls and women in Afghanistan is one of the few restrictions on them after the Taliban rule in Afghanistan again from August 2021.
