The effect of Taliban decrees against women on the process of providing relief to flood victims

تاثیر فرمان‌های طالبان علیه زنان بر روند امدادرسانی به سیل‌زدگان

Adam Vosorno, one of the officials of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, warned once again that the Taliban’s decrees against women have hampered the process of providing aid to flood victims and the needy in Afghanistan.Vosorno, who recently visited Afghanistan, said the restrictions placed on Afghan women aid workers have made humanitarian operations more challenging. According to him, as a result of these orders of the Taliban group, about 1.4 million women and teenage girls have been deprived of education and employment. Despite repeated calls from the United Nations to lift these restrictions, the Taliban continue to oppress women and girls.
