Hamas Welcomes Biden’s Proposal for Permanent Ceasefire and Prisoner Exchange

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” announced in a statement that they welcome the proposals made by US President Joe Biden regarding a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of occupying forces from the Gaza Strip, the reconstruction of the city, and the exchange of prisoners.

Hamas also emphasized that they are ready to respond constructively and positively to any proposal for a permanent ceasefire, complete withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, reconstruction of the city, return of refugees to their homes, and a serious exchange of prisoners.

This reaction came after Biden announced in his speech at the White House that Israel had offered a new 3-stage ceasefire proposal, which in the first stage would include a 6-week ceasefire, Israel’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the exchange of some prisoners between the two sides.
