Prince Ahmad Shah, Former Crown Prince of Afghanistan, Passes Away at 89

Prince Ahmad Shah, the son of Mohammad Zahir Shah, the last king of Afghanistan, passed away at the age of 89 due to illness in the state of Virginia, United States. Prince Mustafa, the grandson of Zahir Shah, announced the news of his uncle’s demise on his personal page on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 6 am in the morning.

Prince Ahmad Shah was the second son of Mohammad Zahir Shah and was designated as the Crown Prince of Afghanistan after the death of his elder brother Akbar Zahir. He spent a considerable amount of time bedridden due to illness and finally breathed his last outside the country.

The royal family of Afghanistan and the people of the country are mourning the passing of Prince Ahmad Shah. May his memory be cherished, and his soul rest in peace.
