Hafiz Azizul Rahman, head of the Taliban’s National Environmental Protection Agency, says that despite their adherence to international environmental conventions, the world does not cooperate with this group in the field of environment.
Azizul Rahman made these statements on Tuesday, 22nd of Joza, in a meeting with Ilham Mohammadov, the ambassador of Azerbaijan in Kabul, and Trail Ismailov, the adviser of this embassy.
He added: “We are committed to the obligations of international environmental conventions and we hope that the world will also interact with Afghanistan.”The Bakhtar News Agency under the Taliban administration has reported, quoting the head of the National Environmental Protection Agency of this group, that Afghanistan is affected by bad climate changes.
According to Aziz al-Rahman, climate change is one of the main causes of “dangerous” floods in the country.This Taliban official has asked the ambassador of Azerbaijan to facilitate the participation of this group in this year’s “Cup 29” meeting in Azerbaijan.
