US Chargé d’Affaires Holds Constructive Talks on Afghanistan’s Private Sector Growth
Karen Decker, the US Chargé d’Affaires for Afghanistan, reported holding a series of constructive discussions with banks and chambers of commerce in Afghanistan regarding the growth of the private sector in the country.
Ms. Decker announced on the X network (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday evening, August 1st, that these talks took place last week in Dubai. Without providing further details, she expressed appreciation for the women and men striving to grow Afghanistan’s economy, create jobs, and build a better future for Afghans.
The topic of private sector growth in Afghanistan was one of the issues emphasized by the Taliban delegation at the third Doha meeting, which was held in late July this year.
