Former ISI Chief Faiz Hameed Arrested, Faces Court Martial

In an unprecedented move, the Pakistan Army has arrested former ISI chief Lt Gen (retd.) Faiz Hameed and initiated court martial proceedings against him.

The arrest follows a detailed court of inquiry ordered by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to investigate complaints in the Top City housing scheme scandal.

The inquiry revealed multiple violations of the Pakistan Army Act post-retirement.

Hameed, who served as ISI chief from 2019 to 2021, was taken into military custody as disciplinary actions commenced under the Pakistan Army Act
