Hudson Institute Urges U.S. Support for Afghan Resistance Front

The Hudson Institute, a Washington-based think tank, has called on the U.S. government to support the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan led by Ahmad Massoud against the Taliban.

On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the institute hosted a session where Massoud spoke about the situation in Afghanistan and the necessity of armed resistance against the Taliban.

Hudson Institute experts emphasized that the U.S. withdrawal led to the collapse of the republican government and the rise of a terrorist regime.

The institute suggested that the U.S. establish formal relations with the resistance front and invite Massoud to Washington for discussions, describing the front as a non-extremist organization committed to human rights and democracy.
