Freedom Front Claims Taliban Casualties in Balkh Attack

The Afghanistan Freedom Front has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Taliban checkpoint in Balkh province, resulting in two Taliban fighters killed and two others injured.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday night, September 11, in the “Darvaza-e-Shadyan” area of Mazar-i-Sharif’s first district. However, the Taliban’s security command in Balkh has countered this claim, stating that they killed a National Resistance Front member attempting to throw a hand grenade at their checkpoint, while his accomplice escaped.

This follows the Freedom Front’s earlier claim of killing five Taliban fighters in Kabul, indicating ongoing tensions in the region.
