US and Russia Trade Terrorism Support Accusations at UN Meeting

اتهام زنی متقابل امریکا و روسیه در مورد حمایت از تروریزم در ملل متحد

In a tense Security Council session this Tuesday, United States and Russian representatives engaged in heated accusations over terrorism support amidst escalating Syrian conflict. The meeting focused on the sudden surge in fighting across Syria.
Robert Wood, US Deputy Ambassador to the UN, accused Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces and Russia of civilian casualties through attacks on schools and hospitals. The allegations highlighted the growing humanitarian concerns in the region.
In response, Russian UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya directly confronted Wood, criticizing the United States for allegedly failing to condemn what he termed as “obvious terrorist attacks” against civilians in peaceful Syrian cities. The tensions escalated following rebels’ capture of Aleppo last week.
