John Cena has fueled speculation about his retirement match opponent by posting an image of Seth Rollins’ iconic title swing after he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against CM Punk at SummerSlam 2025.
Cena has previously regarded Rollins as one of his finest rivals and has yet to face him during his farewell tour.
The 17-time world champion appears to be hinting that “The Visionary” could be his final WWE opponent.
Throughout his illustrious career, Cena has battled legendary names including Edge, Randy Orton, CM Punk, The Rock, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Umaga, Batista, Seth Rollins, and Cody Rhodes. During his retirement tour, he has already faced Orton, Punk, and Rhodes, with a planned feud against Lesnar in the coming weeks.
Rollins makes a credible case as Cena’s final opponent.
As the leader of The Vision faction, defeating and retiring Cena could significantly elevate both Rollins and his group. Additionally, alongside Cody Rhodes, Rollins is positioned as one of WWE’s top stars for the remainder of the 2020s.
Just as Cena put Rhodes over at SummerSlam, he could do the same for Rollins in what would be a fitting conclusion to his legendary career.
