Following reports of Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan soil, Islamabad declared that their operations target terrorist groups and no action is taken against Afghanistan.
Shafqat Ali Khan, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, said Saturday, October 11th, that Pakistan remains committed to dialogue and cooperation with Afghanistan in combating terrorism.
He added that Pakistani security forces conduct targeted, intelligence-based operations to protect citizens against threats from groups like Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated they seek Taliban group cooperation to prevent Afghan soil from being used against Pakistan.
Pakistan previously conducted airstrikes on Kabul and other provinces targeting Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan forces.
These attacks faced widespread reactions, and the Taliban group called Pakistan’s concerns baseless.
