Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi sparked controversy by claiming that people might forget superstar Shah Rukh Khan by 2050, asking “Who is Shah Rukh Khan?”.

He drew parallels with legendary actor Raj Kapoor, whom today’s younger generation doesn’t recognize.

Oberoi, currently promoting his film Mastiii 4, argued that fame is temporary and all stars eventually fade into history.

He stated that just as people today don’t care about actors from the 1960s, future generations will similarly forget current stars.

Internet users reacted strongly to his statements, with many believing Oberoi shouldn’t be making such comments about established superstars.

However, some agreed that stardom is indeed transient and that history eventually relegates everyone to obscurity.
