Local sources in Herat report that flash floods on the route between Azizabad and Shindand districts caused a 580-model passenger bus to overturn. Five passengers were injured in the incident.
The bus was carrying over 50 people, including women and children, who were rescued by emergency teams. Meanwhile, floods in Karukh district have also damaged residential homes.
Taliban officials have advised residents to avoid traveling on the Karukh route until further notice.
Severe weather conditions have significantly disrupted transportation for the province’s inhabitants.
