International media reports that Saudi airstrikes targeting the “Southern Transitional Council” (STC) in Yemen have killed at least 20 separatists.

The STC, which is backed by the United Arab Emirates, was hit at military bases in the Al-Khasha and Seiyun regions.

The strikes, carried out on Friday against an airport and military positions in Hadramout province, highlight escalating tensions between proxy forces within the anti-Houthi coalition.

Infighting between Riyadh-backed and Abu Dhabi-backed factions adds a new layer of complexity to the war.

Analysts suggest this incident could deepen rifts within the Arab coalition.

As Yemen continues to suffer from a devastating civil war, these internal conflicts among supposed allies make the path to a sustainable peace increasingly difficult.
