Although Al-Oweis has not been accused of any wrongdoing in the Epstein legal cases, the revelations have raised questions about how she secured her advisory role at the UN. Emails suggest Epstein offered to introduce her to influential figures helpful for her career, despite his prior conviction for sex offenses.
Following the public outcry, Al-Oweis deactivated her account on the social media platform X. Known for her work in human rights and women’s empowerment, she now faces intense scrutiny regarding her association with Epstein, who had deep ties to powerful circles globally.
