The participants called for a modern constitution and broad public participation in Afghanistan's power structure. Protecting citizens' rights and respecting ethnic and social diversity were highlighted as key objectives in their final declaration.
The event was organized by the Women for Afghanistan organization. British officials attending the meeting also urged the Taliban government to form an inclusive government and fully respect the fundamental rights of Afghan women.
