The World Health Organization announced on Friday that it has successfully transported 78.5 tons of emergency medical supplies to Afghanistan. This vital cargo was dispatched directly from the organization's logistics hub in Dubai.
According to the international health agency, the shipment includes pneumonia medications, specialized nutritional supplies for severely malnourished children, and essential surgical equipment. These critical items will be distributed to various hospitals and clinics across different provinces.
The World Health Organization estimates that this assistance will support over 419,000 Afghan citizens nationwide. Furthermore, the provided surgical kits and medical tools are expected to facilitate nearly 13,600 life-saving operations for patients in desperate need.
