A delegation of Afghan businessmen signed twenty new trade agreements in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan. The total value of these contracts is estimated at over four hundred million dollars, covering sectors like textiles and pharmaceuticals.

These agreements were finalized in the presence of trade delegations from both countries and Taliban government officials. Previously, a joint trade council was established to strengthen economic ties, leading to significant growth in trade volume.

According to recent statistics, the trade volume between the two nations reached one and a half billion dollars last year. Despite not officially recognizing the Taliban government, Uzbekistan maintains extensive economic relations with Afghan traders.
