“Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned that instability in Afghanistan and rising tensions in the Middle East could easily spread to neighboring regions. He described this situation as a serious security threat to the member states of the CSTO.

During a parliamentary assembly meeting, Lavrov emphasized that Afghanistan continues to struggle with major challenges, including terrorism and drug trafficking. He also accused the United States and Israel of conducting aggressive military actions in the region.

The senior Russian diplomat stated that current crises are no longer limited to specific geographical areas. He noted that Central Asian countries are increasingly concerned about the potential spillover of these conflicts into their own territories.
