Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared that military operations against the Taliban government will continue with absolute resolve. He stated that these ongoing actions aim to protect Pakistani citizens and dismantle armed proxy groups allegedly operating from within Afghan territory.
During a recent visit to Quetta, the Prime Minister demanded that the Taliban government take credible action against militant organizations, including ISKP and the TTP. He firmly reiterated that Islamabad will not hesitate to strike terrorist sanctuaries and support networks across the border.
Border tensions between Islamabad and the Taliban government have reached unprecedented levels in recent months. While Pakistan claims to have eliminated over 700 Taliban fighters during recent operations, Afghan officials vehemently deny these figures and warn against violating their territorial sovereignty.
