Local sources have confirmed that intelligence forces of the Taliban government have suddenly arrested at least thirty individuals in the Dawlat Yar district of Ghor province. It is reported that these detainees were quickly transferred to an unknown, undisclosed location for interrogation.
Reports indicate that security forces violently raided the private residence of a former Jamiat-e-Islami commander, taking five of his close relatives into strict custody. Authorities have allegedly accused the detained individuals of maintaining direct connections with opposition military and political groups.
Until now, no accurate information regarding the health condition or exact whereabouts of these individuals has been provided to their worried families. Official representatives of the Taliban government have completely refused to comment on the underlying reasons for these mass detentions.
