The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has confirmed that at least 13 people were killed in recent Pakistani airstrikes. The strikes took place on Tuesday night, targeting areas in Kunar, Paktika, and Khost provinces.
According to UNAMA, 10 other individuals were injured, with women and children among the tragic victims. This official statement contradicts earlier claims made by Pakistani authorities, who completely denied any civilian casualties during the military operation.
Previously, Pakistan's Information Minister asserted that the airstrikes were precise and calculated. He claimed that the operation successfully eliminated 26 members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and insisted that no innocent civilians were harmed in the crossfire.
