The Afghanistan Freedom Front announced that its forces attacked a gathering of the Taliban government's Vice and Virtue morality police in Herat province.
The front claimed that three Taliban members were killed and two others injured in the nighttime assault, although local sources have not confirmed any casualties.
According to the group's statement, the attack was carried out in retaliation for the recent arrests of women and girls over dress code enforcement in the city.
