The disaster management authority of the Taliban government convened an emergency meeting to coordinate relief efforts for the victims of recent flash floods in Nuristan province. Representatives from the United Nations and various international humanitarian organizations attended the gathering.

During the meeting, aid agencies were urged to deliver emergency assistance to the flood-affected communities within a maximum of seventy-two hours. Representatives from the World Food Programme, UNICEF, and other organizations confirmed their readiness to dispatch urgent relief supplies immediately.

The promised humanitarian aid includes food assistance, non-food items, healthcare services, and temporary shelter for the displaced families. According to initial reports, the devastating floods in the province have left twenty-three people dead and more than a hundred others missing.
