Three sources in Baghlan province confirmed that Taliban forces executed two young men, aged 17 and 19, named Amrullah and Salam, in the mountains between Khost district and Warsaj in Takhar. After the killings, the Taliban poured acid on the bodies and displayed them in the Farghanbal village bazaar and the Doabi bazaar in Khost district center.
An eyewitness stated that the Taliban accused the two men of links to the National Resistance Front. However, the head of the NRF's political committee confirmed both were civilians with no connection to the resistance.
Military analysts condemned the act as unlawful, inhumane, and un-Islamic. The Taliban have not officially commented, but the Baghlan police spokesman attributed the incident to the Taliban Ministry of Defense.
