Local sources in Badakhshan reported clashes between Afghan Freedom Front fighters and Taliban forces in Zebak district on Monday.
Residents say the fighting is intense and Taliban have been moving reinforcements in the area. Taliban were seen carrying the body of one of their fighters from the clash zone to the district center.
