US immigration authorities have arrested a 30-year-old Afghan interpreter who worked with American forces, accusing him of providing material support to a designated terrorist organization.
The man, who entered the US through the SIV program in 2014, denies the allegations and says he is being unfairly targeted.
His deportation proceedings have begun, and a hearing is scheduled for September 14 in Kansas City.
