Kamala Harris Calls for Debate with J.D. Vance on August 13
According to a Biden campaign official, Vice President Kamala Harris requested on Tuesday that Senator J.D. Vance join her for a debate hosted by CBS on August 13. This request came after Senator Vance was announced as Donald Trump’s Republican vice presidential nominee in the upcoming election this past Monday.
Harris had previously accepted CBS’s proposed debate terms for either July 23 or August 13. However, the Trump campaign wanted the debate to be held on Fox News, which the Biden campaign said they would not agree to. An insider said the July 23 option on CBS is no longer being considered. Kamala Harris sent Vance an audio message containing the debate request.
