According to a recent report by the human rights organization HRANA, at least 1,050 people were executed in Iran during 2025. Additionally, more than 30,000 women faced enforcement actions for not complying with mandatory hijab regulations.
The 18-page report, released on Wednesday, March 19, documents at least 3,702 protests and strikes throughout the year. Furthermore, 355 citizens were reportedly shot by military forces during this period.
HRANA emphasized that these statistics may not fully reflect the human rights situation in Iran, as the government does not allow independent human rights organizations to operate freely or access necessary resources for comprehensive monitoring.
