According to Amaj News, a bloody clash has occurred in the Dawang area of Greater Badakhshan City district between the forces of Damla Nasruddin and Chinese citizens.

This incident, which took place over control of the gold mine in the region, has resulted in eight deaths, four of whom were Chinese nationals.

Local sources describe this conflict as part of ongoing challenges over mineral resources in northern Afghanistan, which have long attracted foreign investors.

It’s reported that illegal mining operations in northern Afghan provinces have increased in recent years.

The Taliban group, which controls this region, has not yet responded to this bloody incident.

This event occurs amid continuing concerns about how Afghanistan’s natural resources are being managed and the share of local people in these national treasures.
