Local sources in Khost province report to media that Taliban intelligence forces have arrested Mohammad Allah Garan, a social media activist. His relatives say the reason for his arrest was critical posts on Facebook.
Sources added that the Taliban deleted these posts from his user account after arresting him.
Mr. Garan mostly wrote about social problems, which caused harsh reactions from local Taliban.
One of his relatives said he had been summoned several times before by Taliban institutions in Khost and was banned from publishing critical content.
His case has been handed over to Taliban judicial institutions and he is being prosecuted on charges of propaganda against the Taliban system.
