Militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province attacked a military base in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan with a car bomb on Friday, October 15.
Local officials said that after the explosion, three other attackers attempted to enter the base compound.
Pakistani state media reported that the country’s security forces responded quickly and eliminated the attackers before they could enter the base. Pakistani security officials say no harm came to their forces in this incident.
The attack has been attributed to Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, but the group has not claimed responsibility yet.
According to Pakistani security agencies, more than 88 militants affiliated with Taliban-supported groups have been killed in separate operations in North Waziristan, South Waziristan, and Bannu areas over the past two days. This attack occurred following recent clashes between the Afghan Taliban and Pakistani army.
