Abdullah Mukhtar, Deputy Minister for Supply at the Taliban Interior Ministry, has been dismissed from his position.
The Taliban Interior Ministry announced on Thursday, October 15, that based on a decree by Hibatullah Akhundzada, Taliban leader, “Al-Haj Mohammad Wazir” has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister for Supply Affairs.
Mr. Wazir was introduced to Interior Ministry staff in a ceremony on Wednesday and officially began his duties.
Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani was not present at the ceremony for the new deputy’s inauguration, but his close associates attended the event.
Mohammad Nabi Omari, First Deputy Interior Minister, Zainullah Aber, head of Sirajuddin Haqqani’s office, Rahmatullah Najib, Administrative Deputy, Saeedullah Hamas, Deputy for National Public Protection, and Abdulrahim Saqib, Haqqani’s aide-de-camp, were present at the ceremony. These changes are part of the Taliban group’s administrative reforms.
