King Charles III of Britain faced confrontational questions from a protester on Monday during his visit to Lichfield Cathedral, who questioned him about Prince Andrew’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, accused of sexual crimes.
The protester asked the King how long he had known about his brother’s connection with Epstein and whether he had asked police to cover up the case.
The King did not respond to the protester’s questions and continued greeting supporters.
Some attendees showed strong reactions to the protester’s questions, with one woman telling him to “shut up” and others loudly chanting “Long live the King!”
In recent weeks, Prince Andrew’s relationships with Epstein have come under media scrutiny.
The revelation of details about these relationships caused Charles III’s brother to renounce all his royal titles earlier this month.
The scandal related to Prince Andrew’s relationships with Jeffrey Epstein has been reignited following the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s memoirs.
