Mohammad Naeem Wardak, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Taliban group, has threatened Pakistan with a “similar and crushing response” in case of any attack.
He wrote on social media platform X that Pakistan’s military regime should know it will receive a crushing response to any aggression or attack.
Wardak warned that the long shared border between Afghanistan and Pakistan has brought the Taliban’s hand to what he called “the enemy’s throat.”
This threat comes as a Taliban official said the Pakistani delegation might leave the negotiation table in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Taliban official stated that a special military circle in Pakistan is hindering progress in negotiations and there is no necessary coordination within that country’s government.
Recent tensions between the two countries have intensified over the issue of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and border attacks.
