Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has urged the Muslim community to watch his upcoming film “Haq.” He stated that Muslims will connect with the film in a very different way.
The movie, co-starring Yami Gautam, is scheduled for release on November 7, 2025.
“Haq” is based on the famous 1985 Shah Bano case, which became a turning point in discussions about women’s rights and personal laws in India.
Emraan Hashmi plays Mohammed Ahmad Khan, Shah Bano’s husband, and has tried to present a balanced perspective on religion and law.
Hashmi emphasized that the film is neutral and unbiased while being “pro-women” in its stance He believes the movie addresses important issues through an impartial viewpoint and that the Muslim community should watch it to establish a deeper connection with its message.
