According to Zawia News, after Nangarhar University, several students at Laghman University have now been expelled from the dormitory for trimming their beards.
Some students, speaking anonymously, confirmed their dormitory cards were confiscated and they were removed from the university residence.
Students complain that the university now feels more like a madrasa, with mandatory religious sermons after midday prayers and compulsory sessions after afternoon prayers, leaving little time for their academic studies.
In recent months, on the direct orders of the Taliban group leader, committees have been established in the center and provinces to measure the beards of staff, students, and even visitors, enforcing a new strict moral code.
